Can't believe it's already been two weeks this year since I wiped in a guild raid. But tonight, I finally did it! Multiple times, in fact. It felt good... It felt rough! So rough, that I still got scratches on the back of my spellthreaded pants -
proof... of my nerfed bravery, as I was trying to flee the hopeless battles, leaving the enemies with a sight to behold: my secluded place where the Holy Light don't shine.
There's no shame in wiping, really. Or if there is, I sure don't have any. Everybody wipes, after all, right? The only shame is to repeat the same stupid mistake, over and over again, without spicing up the deadly cocktail with something new and fun. Something like... an Ice Block. It's brand new for fire / arcane mages as of last week's mini-patch, it's totally cool any way you look at it, and it opens up a slew of posibilities in the fine art of wiping.
For instance, as I was saying, earlier tonight I raided for the first time this year with my guild. So there we were, still a bit clumsy after the holiday break, just warming up in Karazhan, getting ready to wipe
the floor with
Moroes... when it hit me! No, not Moroes, but a lovely idea: Blink, and Ice Block. Blink smack in the middle of Moroes' private party, and Ice Block to enjoy the ensuing chaos (for a measly 10 seconds). Do that while the other chaps are still busy laying out their kiting plans, and you get a refreshing
Leeroy Jenkins with a cool twist.
Too bad, though, I wasn't fast enough to try this tonight. But...
*grin*... I'm looking forward to next week! Now, back to another one of Louie' s most inspiring songs:
Gone Fishin'. If anybody feels like giving this a try, I'd sure like to see how it turns out for you. Gief pics or clips!
